Vietnam possesses an important “blood vessel” for the development of logistics. By hosting the FIATA World Congress 2025 and committing to the Net Zero target by 2050, Vietnam is taking the first strong steps on the “green journey” with world logistics. Experts say that the logistics industry needs to build a green, sustainable and crisis-resilient ecosystem to move towards the goal of net zero emissions.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the FIATA World Congress 2025, Mr. Dao Trong Khoa - Chairman of the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) - mentioned the uncertainties that are affecting the world economy. These are geopolitical tensions, trade conflicts, epidemics, etc.
However, he believes that the strong development of technology, artificial intelligence, and green energy is opening up new opportunities to reshape the logistics industry. “The logistics industry needs a green, sustainable, resilient ecosystem to overcome the crisis, contributing to creating a better future for the global logistics industry,” Mr. Khoa emphasized.
According to the VLA chairman, Vietnam is a dynamic economy, deeply integrated into the global economy, with an impressive growth rate. By 2025, Vietnam's import-export turnover is likely to exceed the 800 billion USD mark. In addition, Vietnam's logistics system is attracting 45,000 businesses, including 5,000 international freight forwarding businesses that play an important role in the economy.
Vietnam is aiming to become a regional logistics hub through investing in modern logistics infrastructure, especially green logistics. According to Mr. Khoa, this is the foundation for promoting cooperation, technology transfer, and innovation.
