The Ministry of Construction has approved the road usage fee rates for 5 expressways under the North-South East Project, Phase I, including: Mai Son – National Highway 45; National Highway 45 – Nghi Son; Nghi Son – Dien Chau; Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet; and Phan Thiet – Dau Giay.
These routes have all been put into stable operation, meet technical standards, and have implemented a non-stop electronic toll collection system to ensure fast, transparent, and efficient traffic flow.
The toll fees are calculated based on vehicle categories, from vehicles with fewer than 12 seats to 40-foot container trucks, ranging from a few thousand dong to over 140,000 dong depending on the route and distance traveled. The toll collection is expected to last 7 years from the date of commencement.
Toll collection not only helps recoup infrastructure investment but also creates resources for maintaining and upgrading the expressway system, ensuring safe and smooth operation for freight and passenger transport.
Notably, these expressways will be interconnected with the existing national expressway network, contributing to shorter travel times, reduced logistics costs, and enhanced competitiveness for businesses.
