On May 27th, the Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center officially commenced operations in Cat Hai District, Hai Phong. This event not only adds a large-scale logistics center behind the Lach Huyen deep-water port complex but also contributes to completing the modern logistics ecosystem in the key economic region of Northern Vietnam.
Strategic logistics center behind the Lach Huyen deep-water port.
Spanning 40 hectares and situated within the Lach Huyen Free Trade Zone, logistics and industrial area, the center boasts direct connectivity to deep-water ports, highway systems, industrial parks, and major manufacturing centers in Northern Vietnam.
Beyond simply storing goods, the Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center is envisioned as a hub for coordinating and adding value to import and export flows, helping businesses optimize their operating time and costs.
Enhance supply chain capabilities with integrated logistics services.
Phase 1 of the project brings into operation 12.4 hectares with a container yard capacity of approximately 8,000 TEU and a warehouse system of up to 30,200 m².
The center offers a variety of services, including:
- Container Depot
- CFS Warehouse
- bonded warehouse
- Domestic warehouse
- Storage and transfer services
- Consolidating goods, separating goods
- Value-added logistics services
Integrating multiple functions into a single system helps businesses shorten processing time, reduce intermediary costs, and improve supply chain control.
Green logistics – An inevitable development trend
One of the highlights of the project is its focus on green logistics development, utilizing electric RTG cranes and adopting modern operating standards.
This model aligns with international standards such as LEED and C-TPAT, meeting the growing demands for emission reduction, supply chain transparency, and sustainable development from global markets.
This is also an inevitable trend as import and export businesses increasingly focus on ESG standards and environmentally friendly logistics.
The expectation is to become a key link in cross-border logistics.
Thanks to its location adjacent to the planned Vietnam-China intermodal transport route, the Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center is expected to become a key hub connecting seaports, roads, industrial zones, and international logistics corridors.
The establishment of the center contributes to enhancing Hai Phong's cargo transshipment capacity, while strengthening Vietnam's role in regional and global trade networks.
