In order to meet the need to expand the fleet, Vietsun Corporation – Vietsun Shipping Company is recruiting for the position of Deck Officers. This is an opportunity for you to accompany and have a long-term relationship with one of the leading dynamic transportation companies in Vietnam.

1. RECRUITMENT TITLE: Second Officer, Third Officer

2. DEPARTMENTS/DEPARTMENTS: Ship Management Department

4. DIRECT MANAGEMENT: Head of Ship Management Department

5. WORK LOCATION: Vietsun fleet

6. SALARY: Salary 29 million/30; 32 million/20 and bonuses based on performance.

7. JOB DESCRIPTION

7.1. Second Officer (2O)

Responsible for planning voyages, calculating routes, and updating nautical charts and publications.

Perform watchkeeping, ensure maritime safety, and comply with COLREG regulations.

Management and maintenance of marine equipment, radar, GPS, AIS, radio communication systems.

Responsible for medical work and health care for crew members on board (according to company regulations).

Assist the Chief Officer in operating and supervising deck work, loading and unloading goods, anchoring and docking.

Perform other duties assigned by the Captain or Chief Officer.

7.2. Third Officer (3O)

Perform watchkeeping, ensure safe navigation and observation while the ship is underway.

Assist Second Officer in voyage planning, updating charts and nautical publications.

In charge of life-saving, fire-fighting, signaling and maritime safety equipment on board; regular inspection and maintenance.

Implement security, labor safety and environment (ISM, ISPS) work according to regulations.

Assist the Chief Officer in managing the deck, anchoring, berthing, loading and unloading of goods when the ship is in operation.

Report directly to the Chief Officer and perform other duties as assigned by the Captain.

9. ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

9.1. Deputy Two

Have full professional certificates according to current regulations (COC, GOC, SSO, BST, Radar/ARPA, ECDIS, etc.).

Have experience as Second Officer or have worked on equivalent ships.

Understand the Collision Prevention Regulations (COLREG), safety procedures and ship maneuvering.

Proficient in the use of marine equipment such as radar, GPS, AIS, ECDIS, and communication systems.

Ability to plan voyages, manage charts and update technical documentation.

Good physical strength, high sense of responsibility, work independently and coordinate effectively in a team.

No violations of the law, clear background.

9.2. Deputy

Have full professional certificates as prescribed (COC, GOC, SSO, BST, Radar/ARPA, ECDIS, etc.).

Have experience in cruise or equivalent position.

Master knowledge of navigation, maritime safety, lifesaving and firefighting.

Proficient in using marine equipment such as radar, GPS, AIS, ECDIS.

Have a sense of discipline, high responsibility, good teamwork and can withstand work pressure.

Good physical condition, no criminal record, clear background.
